This bell has a great tone to it, and can be heard easily in the field. Bells are a great safety feature for hunting dogs. It lets you know where the dog's location. Another excellent safety feature is the bell will keep coyotes away from your dog. The ring of the bell discourages the coyotes from coming close to your dog. This bell is 1 inch tall by 1 3/8 inch wide. The loop is made out of heavy nylon. The nylon loop will fit up to a 1-inch wide collar.
